Government together with KfW, EIB and EU will allocate 81 million  euros to ensure water supply in several regions of Armenia

ArmInfo. The Government of Armenia, together with the German Development Bank KfW, the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the EU will allocate 81 million euros to  ensure water supply for over 100 thousand residents of several  regions of Armenia.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Territorial  Administration and Infrastructures, the beneficiaries of this program  were residents of 11 cities and 37 villages of Shirak, Lori, Armavir,  Gegharkunik, Syunik and Vayots Dzor regions.

Within the framework of the program, it is planned to install 66 km  of water pipes, repair 20 water intakes, a pumping station, build a  distribution network (490 km long) and install household water pipes  (180 km long).

It is reported that at this stage, work is especially active in the  settlements of Gyumri, Haykavan, Bayandur, Vanadzor, Lernapat and  Gugark.
