ArmInfo.Armenian Ambassador to the Czech Republic Ashot Hovakimyan visited the office of the CzechInvest Investment and Business Development Agency of the Czech Republic, where he held talks with the agency's director Patrick Reichl.
As reported by the press service of the Armenian Embassy in the Czech Republic, the parties exchanged views on the Armenian-Czech bilateral agenda in the trade and economic sector, touched upon sectoral initiatives and program priorities of mutual interest, as well as the prospects for developing cooperation both in a bilateral format and within the EU. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of cooperation and exchange of experience between relevant institutions involved in attracting investment.
CzechInvest is the Investment and Business Development Agency of the Czech Republic, established in 1992 by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The Agency promotes the attraction of foreign direct investment and the development of domestic companies through its services and development programs. CzechInvest also promotes the Czech Republic abroad and acts as an intermediary between the EU and small and medium-sized enterprises in the implementation of Structural Funds in the Czech Republic. CzechInvest has the exclusive right to apply for investment incentives with the competent governing bodies and prepares draft proposals for the provision of investment incentives. The agency also manages all business-related and many scientific-related structural funds in the Czech Republic. Its mission is also to provide potential investors with current data and information on the business climate, investment environment and investment opportunities in the Czech Republic.
