
ArmInfo. As of August 10, 2021, tax revenues (tax revenues and state duty) of the state treasury of Armenia amounted to 887.4 billion drams, or 85.7% of the planned figure for 9 months, the Budget Office of the RA National Assembly reports, referring to operational data.
According to the source, the collected revenues exceeded the indicator for the same period of 2020 by 10.8% or 86.4 billion drams, by 41.8 billion drams or 4.9% the indicator for 2019 and by 194.8 billion drams or 28.1% compared to the same period in 2018.
To recall, a state of emergency was introduced in Armenia from March 16 to September 11, 2020, this implied certain restrictions for both citizens and business. On September 11, 2020, the Armenian government introduced quarantine in the country due to the coronavirus pandemic until January 11, 2021, instead of the previous state of emergency.
To note, according to the approved state budget for 2021, state treasury revenues will amount to 1 trillion 509 billion 462 million 935 thousand drams. Tax revenues (tax collection and state duty) will amount to 1 trillion 440 billion 136 million 839.5 thousand drams. At the beginning of July this year, Acting Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan informed that based on the results of tax collections for the first quarter of 2021, adjustments were made and the indicator recorded in the state budget increased from 1 trillion 440 billion drams to 1 trillion 480 billion drams, and then by 30 billion drams, up to 1 trillion 510 billion drams.
