ArmInfo. Armenia is a leading country in the field of information and telecommunication technologies (ICT) with great research and creative potential. This is stated in a study by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The study was also carried out in Pakistan and Sri Lanka, according to the press service of the Ministry of High-Tech Industry.
As a result, a video was prepared for each country, including Armenia, highlighting the successes achieved in this area from the Soviet period to the present day, as well as the success stories of Armenian technology companies.
"The video is designed to draw the attention of Japanese companies to Armenia and outline the prospects for cooperation in the field of technology," the source informs.
To note, JICA is a government agency whose purpose is to promote economic and social growth in developing countries, as well as to stimulate international cooperation through the exchange of knowledge and experience.
Recall that according to the RA Statistical Committee, the revenue of the information and telecommunication technologies (ICT) sector of Armenia in the first half of 2021 reached 159.9 billion drams (about $ 306.3 million), exceeding the indicator of a year ago by 2.8%.
