Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Mikhail Myasnikovich noted positive dynamics in the EAEU economy this year in the third Kyrgyz-Russian Business Forum "New Challenges and Opportunities for Business Partnership in the EAEU ", which took place in Cholpon-Ata (Kyrgyzstan) on the eve of the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, BelTA learned from the press service of the EEC.
According to him, large-scale projects based on commercial interests should play an important role in the development of the economy of the Eurasian Economic Union. "The EEC proposed to work out new motivation tools for the creation of joint ventures - Eurasian transnational companies," the press service said.
"This is the commission's participation in financing cooperation projects by the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), the use of the resources of the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development (EFSD), as well as the mechanism of interstate programs and projects."
So, in the first half of the year, the volume of industrial production in the whole Union increased by 4.4%, in the manufacturing industry - by 6.5%. Consumer demand increased by more than 9%, the number of unemployed decreased by half. Mutual trade in goods showed an increase of 31.9%. An increase in the volume of cooperative supplies between the EAEU states by 25% was recorded.
According to the Chairman of the EEC Board, the Commission sees the need to create conditions for the joint entry of Eurasian business into foreign markets. In the first half of 2021, foreign trade grew by 24.5%, however, he noted, this is not enough: the volume of foreign trade of the EAEU is still about 2% of the world.
