Armenia will host the fvw DRV Destination Forum Armenien organized by the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Armenia, the German Tourism Association Deutscher Reiseverband (DRV) and the fvw authoritative travel magazine. About 70 specialists from Germany will arrive in Armenia to participate in the forum.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Economy, specialists from Germany are representatives of German tour operators, travel agencies, airlines and news agencies.
The forum is held with the aim of increasing the recognition of Armenia in Germany as an attractive tourist destination, as well as forming a platform for discussions between public and private institutions representing the tourism sector.
During the event, issues related to strengthening tourism ties between the two countries, improving the image of Armenia in the German market will be discussed. In addition, Armenian travel companies will be given an exceptional opportunity to present their travel products and form business ties with delegates from Germany.
To note, according to the Statistical Committee of Armenia, in H1 2021, 1,926 tourists from Germany visited Armenia, which is 14.8% higher than a year ago. In general, during the reporting period, a decrease in tourist flow to the country was registered. In particular, according to the source, in H1 2021, 239,263 tourists visited Armenia, which is 22.2% less than the y-o-y indicator.
