Vahan Kerobyan: Government is discussing investment projects for the establishment of a network of gas stations, the construction of a residential complex and a rest area

ArmInfo. The Armenian government is discussing an investment program worth about 60 million US dollars, for the establishment of a network of gas stations of a new standard and quality, RA Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan told reporters on August 27 after a government meeting.

 

As he said, investors are foreigners who plan to supply gasoline from Russia through Georgian ports. As the head of the Ministry of Economy pointed out, there are large terminals in Georgian ports from where gasoline can be supplied. At the same time, he ruled out the possibility of importing Azerbaijani fuel.

 

The Minister of Economy, touched upon the fuel market. According to him, the department headed by him, albeit indirectly, considers itself responsible for the regulation of tariffs. As Kerobyan pointed out, there is a certain decrease in prices in the market of diesel fuel and liquefied gas. So, at some gas filling stations the prices for liquefied gas decreased from 280 drams to 240 drams.

 

In addition to this program, as the minister said, the Armenian government is discussing the implementation of an investment project for the construction of a new residential complex in the Silikyan district of Yerevan. The territory of the complex will cover 65 hectares of land. The investor and developer, according to him, will be "Art Company", the largest construction company. There is also a project for the construction of a rest area in the Aragatsotn region of Armenia. The Minister refrained from specifying other details of the investment projects under discussion, noting that they would be submitted for approval by the Cabinet within the next two weeks.
