ArmInfo.A number of Dutch companies are interested in the IT sector of Armenia and have a desire to work with Armenian companies. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Armenia Nicholas Schermers announced this during a meeting with the Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia Vahagn Khachatryan.
Emphasizing the special attitude and approaches of the Netherlands towards Armenia, the Ambassador expressed readiness to deepen cooperation in the field of high technologies. "Armenia can become an excellent place for the implementation of joint programs and investments in this area," the diplomat emphasized.
Taking into account the experience of the Netherlands in the field of high technologies in a number of areas, Minister Khachatryan, in turn, pointed to the possibilities of deepening cooperation in the field of digitalization, cybersecurity, e-government. He stressed that the Ministry is currently working on the methodology and standards of digitalization, which in the future will be applicable to the entire Republic.
The minister also touched upon approaches aimed at the formation of competitive personnel, work on technological education, co-financed by the state, and the promotion of start-ups.
During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in these areas. The parties stressed their readiness to develop cooperation.
