A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Finance of Armenia and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants of the United  Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (ACCA) during a  videoconference, which will allow more effective cooperation with the  world-renowned professional organization in the areas of accounting  and auditing related to professional development, as well as mutual  recognition and improvement of qualification systems.

As reported by the press service of the RA Ministry of Finance, the  signing of the document took place within the framework of the  program of bilateral cooperation with the Ministry of Finance of the  Russian Federation in 2020-2022, in connection with which the  specialists of the Armenian financial department from Sep 14 to Sep  17 take part in meetings in Moscow entitled: "Modern trends in the  use of integrated reporting ".

The British Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is  a global association of financial, accounting and auditing  professionals regulated by the Royal Charter. The Association is  empowered by the   Office of Qualifications and Examinations  Regulation (Ofqual) to issue vocational qualifications.  The  association unites 208,000 members and 503,000 students in 178  countries. ACCA is headquartered in London with its main  administrative office in Glasgow. ACCA operates through a network of  more than 104 offices and centers in 52 countries - with 323 approved  training partners (ALPs) and more than 7,300 approved employers  around the world that provide employee development. It is a member of  the International Federation of Accountants. In 2000, an ACCA  representative office was opened in Moscow, Russia. In 2014, the ACCA  representative office in Moscow was closed, and a representative  office of 100% of the British subsidiary of ACC Russia Limited was  opened in its place.

The ACCA curriculum has formed the basis for the United Nations  global curriculum, the Guide to National Qualification Requirements  for Professional Accountants.
