ArmInfo. Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan is in favor of starting the process of delimitation and demarcation of the border with Azerbaijan. He stated this to journalists on September 17, commenting on the statement of official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova that the incidents on the Kapan-Goris road once again confirm the need to start work on the delimitation and demarcation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
"I think that a certain process of delimitation and demarcation should be started," said the Deputy Prime Minister. At the same time, according to him, at present the Armenian government is intensively working on solving problems related to the section of the Goris-Kapan interstate road, as well as on improving the bypass road through Tatev and finding alternative solutions. "Alternative infrastructure solutions will balance the situation," Grigoryan stressed.
Answering the question about the trilateral working group, Armenia-Russia-Azerbaijan at the level of deputy prime ministers, Grigoryan recalled that the last such meeting took place about a month ago. As the Deputy Prime Minister pointed out, today the agenda needs to be finalized. "In terms of the opening of railways, solutions began to be considered, with regard to roads - work still needs to be done," Grigoryan explained, adding that this is a comprehensive unblocking of all directions, not just one.
