ArmInfo.Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia Rustam Badasyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Republic to the Republic of Armenia Alfonso Di Riso. Issues of cooperation between Armenia and Italy in the field of tax and customs administration were discussed at the meeting.
During the meeting, Badasyan noted that the existing legal framework between the two countries in the field of tax and customs administration allows cooperation both at the bilateral level and within other international organizations.
The Chairman of the SRC highly appreciated the implementation of the "Tax Inspectors Without Borders" program implemented by the joint initiative of the OECD and IDP within the framework of cooperation between the Italian Tax Service and the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia. "The program provided an opportunity to the Armenian side to transfer knowledge and skills related to tax audits," the RA State Revenue Committee said. The parties expressed their readiness to take active steps to further expand cooperation between the tax and customs authorities of the two countries.
