
ArmInfo.Armenia will provide another financial assistance to Artsakh in the amount of AMD 13 billion 473 million. The corresponding decision was made on September 30 at the meeting of the RA government.
As Minister of Finance of Armenia Tigran Khachatryan stated, presenting the document, 1.2 billion drams will be directed to cover utility costs of Artsakh residents for October this year. (1,206,560.0 drams will be allocated to the government of the Artsakh Republic on the basis of a donation agreement, Ed. note).
An amount of about 12.2 billion drams will be allocated to the Artsakh government as part of an interstate loan at an interest rate of 0.001% per annum, with a maturity date of January 1, 2025. In particular, the funds in the amount of 12,266,569,800 drams will be directed to finance the October payments of pensions, benefits, salaries of Artsakh people and expenses of the healthcare system.
In particular, 3 billion 095 million will be allocated for the payment of wages and allowances, 1.233 billion will be allocated for the payment of pensions, for social and educational programs - 507 million AMD. 2.300 billion drams will be allocated for capital investments, 2.230 billion drams for programs in the field of agriculture.
As RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said, since November 9 as of today, Armenia's financial assistance to Artsakh has reached about 100 billion drams.
Deputy Prime Minister Suren Papikyan, in turn, said that about 1 billion drams will be allocated to the Syunik region to restore the viability of local communities and solve existing problems.
