ArmInfo.The proportional development of territories and the development of decentralized interregional cooperation are the priority tasks of the Government of the Republic of Armenia. Minister of Territorial Development and Infrastructures of the Republic of Armenia Gnel Sanosyan stated this during his speech at the Interregional Armenian-Russian Forum.
In this context, he added that decentralized interregional cooperation between Armenia and Russia has traditionally developed in such sectors as culture and education, health care and tourism.
"If we can use all the potential of interregional decentralized cooperation, then we will be able to give a new quality of life to the residents of our regions," Sanosyan stressed.
He added that the forum is an excellent platform for identifying all the problems, the solution of which will stimulate the development of interregional cooperation between countries, facilitate the establishment of contacts between entrepreneurs and business circles, who have adopted advanced technologies and standards in production.
Summing up the results of his speech, the minister said that during these two days a rich agenda for further Armenian-Russian cooperation had been formed.
To recall, the interregional forum between Armenia and Russia has been held since 2011 with the aim of expanding cooperation between the territorial units of the two states.
Within the framework of the forum, a business mission from the Russian Federation arrived in Armenia, which included 24 Russian exporters representing food products, agricultural machinery, construction equipment, information technology for various industries, energy, mechanical engineering, medicine and pharmaceuticals. The business mission was organized by the Russian Export Center JSC with the assistance of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia and the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in the RA.
