Negative migration balance increased by 38.2%

ArmInfo. In January-September 2021, 45,730 cases of population migration were  registered in Armenia, which is 15.8% higher than a year ago.

According to the data of the Statistical Committee of the Republic of  Armenia, of this number, 14,284 people moved to the country from  abroad (with a y-o-y growth of 18.8%), and 17,270 people emigrated  abroad (with a y-o-y growth of 21.7%).

Meanwhile, intra-republican migration amounted to 28,460 cases, which  is 12.4% higher than a year ago.

As a result, for the reporting period 2021 in Armenia, the negative  balance of migration amounted to 2,986 people, with a y- o-y growth  of 38.2%.

The main countries where the citizens of Armenia prefer to move are  Russia, Georgia, France, the USA and Germany.  For tourism purposes,  609,775 people visited Armenia during the reporting period, which is  88.2% higher than the previous year.
