Association of Restaurateurs reacted negatively to new decision of RA  Health Ministry

ArmInfo. The "Association of Restaurateurs" NGO reacted negatively to the statement of the Minister of Health of Armenia on the introduction of new restrictive  measures in the republic from January 1 next year.

Thus, in a widespread statement, the Association of Restaurateurs  called on the RA government and the Ministry of Health to refrain  from unreasonable initiatives that will have negative consequences.

"We express our categorical disagreement with the voiced opinion, we  declare that entrepreneurs are initiating preventive measures.  The  restaurant industry is in a very difficult economic situation, it  provides fifty thousand jobs and is not going to obey decisions that  are disastrous for the industry.  Once again, we urge the responsible  departments to deal with professional issues, in particular, in the  health sector, refraining from interfering in the business world, "  said in a statement of the Association of Restaurateurs.

It should be noted that RA Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan stated  at today's press conference that new restrictions will be introduced  in the country in connection with the coronavirus. According to her,  from January 1, 2022, only vaccinated citizens will be allowed to go  to public catering and cultural events by presenting a vaccination  certificate, while unvaccinated citizens will be allowed only if they  have negative PCR tests.  Earlier, the Ministry of Health of Armenia  introduced requirements that from October 1, 2021, all working  citizens must provide their employers with vaccination certificates.  Unvaccinated citizens were obliged to take a PCR test for coronavirus  every 2 weeks, and from December 1, this period has been reduced to a  week. At the moment, 1.2 million people have been vaccinated in  Armenia, more than 430 thousand citizens have undergone a full course  of vaccination.  Moreover, over the past day, 4,172 coronavirus tests  were carried out in Armenia, of which 189 new cases of infection were  detected, while 1,072 people recovered, 21 died.
