Electricity generation in Armenia decreased by 3.1% in 10 months

Electricity generation in Armenia decreased by 3.1% in 10 months

ArmInfo. Electricity generation in Armenia in January- October 2021 amounted to 6163.2 million kWh, having decreased in y-o-y terms by 3.1%, and in October  alone increased by 5.8% to 582.3 million kWh. This is evidenced by  the data of the RA Statistical Committee.

According to statistics, in January-October 2021, TPPs increased  electricity generation by 5.6% per annum - up to 2,750.9 million kWh,  HPPs - by 25.2% to 1,959.3 million kWh. And the Armenian NPP, on the  contrary, reduced its output by 36.6% - to 1,375.8 million kWh.

During the reporting period, 11.3 thousand gigajoules of thermal  energy were produced, with a y-o-y decline of 63.2%.

Wind farms produced 1 million kWh of electricity, with a y-o-y  decline of 41.2%. And solar stations produced 76.2 million kWh of  electricity, which is 4.4-fold more than a year ago.
