ArmInfo.The Armenian government at a regular meeting without discussion approved the procedure for licensing the installation of gas equipment on vehicles running on compressed natural or liquefied hydrocarbon gas, as well as periodical inspection (control) of gas cylinders.
According to source, at the present time the installation of gas cylinders and periodic inspection (control) is not an activity subject to licensing - the process is regulated by the relevant Government decrees.
It is noted that the decision is aimed at improving the safety level of gas-cylinder vehicles. According to the document, in 2020, an amendment was made to the law on road transport, according to which by-laws should be developed that regulate the sector, which will regulate the requirements for the installation of gas equipment on vehicles running on compressed natural or liquefied petroleum gas, and periodic examination of gas cylinders.
