No deceiving discount schemes - Commission for Protection of Economic  Competition

ArmInfo. The RA Commission for Protection of Economic Competition has initiated legislation to prevent deceiving price and discount schemes during the sales,  Commission Chairman Gegham Gevorgyan told reporters on December 28.

The legislation is an attempt to settle the issue, including the  definition of such terms as "sales" and "discounts", types and terms,  time limits, etc. According to one of the requirements, discounts are  to be applied to the lowest price for the last two months, which is  to be indicated on the price tag. The sales will have time limits;  otherwise this is a way of attracting clients.

The moment discounts are offered at least 20% of the goods and  services is to be sold at discounts of the highest percent

According to the Commission, the legislation is aimed at forming  necessary and predictable legal environment, improving competition  and protecting consumers.
