EU to allocate EUR 2.7mln to projects in three Armenian  municipalities

ArmInfo.At the end of December, the EU Delegation to Armenia has signed three contracts with Kapan, Dilijan and Ijevan municipalities. These local  authorities were selected from Armenia under a call for proposals to  implement pilot projects in the framework of the Mayors for Economic  Growth regional facility, reads a report by the EU Delegation to  Armenia. 

During the coming years with EUR 2.7 mln co-financing from EU

TUMO Center for Creative Technologies will be set up in Kapan in the  city's historic train station in partnership with Simonian  Educational Foundation; 

an abandoned soviet-era sewing factory will be transformed into a  modern art cluster co-working space for enterprises and individuals  in Dilijan in partnership with Dilijan Municipality, IDeA foundation,  Tourism and Urbanism Foundation and Dilijan Community Center 

Innoijevan platform will be set up in Ijevan hosting new Armath  Engineering Laboratories, a "Real School'' and a co-working space for  businesses and individuals in partnership with Union of Advanced  Technology Enterprises-UATE and COWO.

"We are looking forward to the launch of these projects early next  year and their successful implementation for the benefit of  communities across Armenia," EU Delegation to Armenia reports.
