Armenian government minimizes contacts between tax authority and  taxpayer

ArmInfo. The Armenian government minimizes contacts between the tax authority and the taxpayer. On January 12, at a regular sitting of the NA Standing Committee on  Economic Affairs, the draft law "On Amendments and Addenda to the RA  Tax Code" was discussed in the first reading.

Rustam Badasyan, Chairman of the RA State Revenue Committee (SRC),  stated that the proposed normative legal act is necessary to minimize  contacts between the tax authority and the taxpayer, which will  significantly reduce the time of tax audits and research.

The project envisages expansion of the list of documents that must be  notified to taxpayers electronically.  The development of an  electronic notification system, according to the Tax and Customs  Committee, in turn increases the efficiency of tax administration by  ensuring tax discipline.

It is also proposed to provide provisions in the Code that would  allow to deregister cash registers of the old generation.
