ArmInfo. Land purchase-and-sale deals are traditional real estate business leaders in Armenia's regions.
According to the official data, a total of 2,091land purchase-and-sale deals were concluded last November - an 88.9% year-on-year increase, with a 4.4% decrease in one month recorded. Lands with a total area of 1,550.9 hectares purchased and sold, with a total area of cultivable lands being 1,458.36 hectares.
In absolute terms, the Kotayk province was the leader (529 deals or 25.3%), with the lowest number of deals recorded in Syunik (49 or 2.3%).
In terms of areas, however, the Armavir province remains the leader. In the period under review, 408 land purchase-and-sale deals were recorded, with a total land area being 532.2 hectares (34.1%), with the area of cultivable lands being 518.05 hectares.
Progressive growth rates of land purchase-and-sale were recorded in Syunik (12.3-fold), Vaiots Dzor (4- fold), Armavir (2.9-fold), Gegharkunik (2.8-fold), Ararat (2.5-fold).
A total of 332 land lease deals were concluded in Armenia's regions in November 2021 - a 3.1-fold increase and a 19% increase in one month. The leased land area totaled 952.8 hectares, with that of cultivable lands being 948.55 hectares.
