ArmInfo. Last year, Armenia's insurance sector paid taxes totaling AMD 2.6bln - up by a 36.8% as compared with 2020. Direct taxes totaled AMD 2.2bln or 87.7% of the total amount.
According to the RA State Revenue Committee, five of the six insurance companies were among Armenia's 1,000 largest taxpayers last year.
INGO Armenia has been a long-standing leader among Armenia's insurance companies. Last year it ranked 298th (299th in 2020), with its tax payment to Armenia's state budget totaling AMD 780.8mln, with direct taxes totaling 709.7mln.
Rosgosstrakh ranked 333rd (259th in 2020) - AMD 689.6mln and AMD 562.7mln respectively. Nairi Insurance ranked 425th (459th in 2020) - AMD 540.8mln and AMD 485.6 respectively. Armenia Insurance ranked 595th (868th in 2020) - 385.6mln and 360.9mln respectively. SIL Insurance ranked 980th (912th in 2020) - AMD 210.4 and AMD 167.7 respectively.
In 2020, Armenia's insurance sector paid a total of AMD 1.9bln to the state budget - up by 43.7% as compared with 2019.
Rosgosstrakh Armenia remained the leader, followed by INGO Armenia, Nairi Insurance, Armenia Insurance, SIL Insurance.
