
ArmInfo. Turkish citizens have always acquired property in Armenia. Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan said in an interview with reporters on February 3, commenting on rumors that they have been actively investing in real estate in Armenia lately.
According to him, the Armenian economy has always been open to Turkey. "Always, except for 2021," the Minister said.
The Turks also freely acquired real estate in Armenia and invested in local businesses.
He did not specify which companies and how much investment he is talking about. For more detailed information, the minister suggested that journalists apply to the Cadastral Committee, the State Register and the Central Depository.
The head of the Ministry of Economy assured that there are no strategically important objects on this list. At the same time, according to Kerobyan, at the moment no draft law is being developed to prevent the acquisition of objects of strategic importance by Turkish companies. "Our goal is not to close the economy to anyone, but to strengthen it and increase competitiveness in this environment," he concluded.
