
ArmInfo. Armenia and Russia intend to expand cooperation in the field of tax and customs administration. This became known following the meeting of Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia Rustam Badasyan and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin.
According to the press service of the State Revenue Committee, during the meeting, the parties attached importance to the existence of a contractual and legal field between the countries in the field of tax and customs administration, which allows active interaction at the bilateral level within the framework of the CIS Executive Committee, the Eurasian Economic Commission and other international organizations.
It is reported that Rustam Badasyan presented to the Ambassador the SRC reform program for the coming years, which provides for the modernization of border customs points, the digitalization of customs clearance procedures, the creation of modern customs laboratories at border customs checkpoints. In this context, the Chairman of the SRC emphasized the need to exchange Russia's best practices in the creation of customs laboratories in terms of human resources and technical equipment.
