ArmInfo.The Inland Transport Committee of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) will provide expert assistance to Armenia in improving professional skills in the field of transport. This became known following the participation of Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of Armenia Armen Simonyan in the 84th session of the UNECE Inland Transport Committee in Geneva.
According to the Ministry's official Facebook page, during his visit to Geneva, Armen Simonyan also held a bilateral meeting with UNECE Executive Director Olga Algayerova.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed issues related to road safety, as well as the possibility of Armenia joining the UN conventions in the field of transport. Olga Algaerova, un an agreement, stated that she would provide professional support to the Armenian side in developing a road safety strategy
