
ArmInfo.On March 3, Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan received a delegation headed by Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyyed Reza Fatemi-Amin. Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Abbas Badakhshan Zohouri also attended the meeting.
According to the press service of the RA government, the interlocutors stressed the need for joint efforts to develop economic relations and bring them in line with the level of political relations.
Touching upon the possibilities of Armenia as a member state of the EAEU, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that Armenia can become a gateway to the large EAEU market, which may be of interest to Iranian exporters.
Jointly implemented programs and new possible areas of cooperation were discussed, and an exchange of views took place around the establishment of possible joint productions. Mher Grigoryan presented to the Iranian Minister the programs implemented by the government to support business expansion and export promotion, as well as existing tools.
During the meeting, issues related to cooperation in a number of areas of mutual interest were also discussed.
