This became known following the meeting of the Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of the Republic of Armenia Armen Simonyan with Deputy Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Armenia Victor Clark.
According to the press service of the Ministry, in a conversation with Armen Simonyan, Victor Clark enquired about the problems existing in the sector and the possible support of the United Kingdom, which will contribute to the introduction of a sustainable transport system in Armenia. He noted that the British side is committed to its obligation to promote programs to reduce emissions into the environment in developing countries.
In this regard, Simonyan noted the importance of developing a policy aimed at increasing the amount of sustainable transport, which will also stimulate the construction of new charging stations. He recalled that the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of Armenia has adopted a policy of implementing reform programs, which is designed to ensure Armenia's transition to a sustainable transport system and vehicles with zero emissions.
It is reported that during the meeting, issues related to the diversification and development of bilateral trade and investment ties were also discussed.
