UNWTO to hold meeting in Yerevan

ArmInfo. The European Regional Commission of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) will hold its 67th meeting in Yerevan, Armenia, on June 1-3, the Armenian Tourism Committee reported.

Representatives of 40 European countries are expected to attend the  meeting and provide the information on the situation in their  countries and relevant steps. 

The UNWTO European Regional Commission made a decision to hold its  67th meeting in Yerevan at a its last year's meeting Athens.  

A total of 870,308 tourists visited Armenia in 2021. Specifically,  350,500 Russian tourists visited the country, 91,100 Iranian  tourists, 70,600 from Georgia, 31,600 from the USA, 22,300 from  Ukraine, 17,900 from India, 14,300 from France, 11,900 from Germany,  7,500 from the Netherlands, 7,200 from Belarus.
