Armenia optimizes control at state border and introduces the  principle of "one window"

ArmInfo.Armenia simplifies customs control at the state border. As Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) Rustam Badasyan stated on March 24 at a government  meeting, presenting a draft decision, the control of various state  bodies at the border will be optimized and the "one window" principle  will be introduced.

"Now representatives of 5 bodies are working at the state border -  the border guards of the National Security Service, the customs  service, the inspection body for food safety, the police, as well as  the presence of another inspection body for transport was expected,"  Badasyan said. After the changes, only customs officers and border  guards of the National Security Service will remain at the  checkpoint. The functions of other state bodies will be distributed  among them. In particular, the customs authority will carry out  customs procedures, as well as control over documentation regarding  the food safety inspection authority.

The goal is to contact the "single window" for all questions when  crossing the border and avoid repeated control.

The chief tax official also said that in the package of issues not  subject to discussion, amendments were adopted regarding the payment  of the customs duty for preliminary declaration and the automated  release of goods. According to him, during the introduction of  preliminary declaration (for 20 cases), it became clear that the time  for registration was reduced from several days to several hours.
