Double taxation on income and property tax between Armenia,  Switzerland to be eliminated

ArmInfo. On March 24, at a meeting, the Government of Armenia approved the draft law "On the Ratification of the Protocol on Amendments to the Convention on the  Exclusion of Double Taxation in the Line of Income and Property Tax  between the Republic of Armenia and the Swiss Confederation of June  12, 2006", signed on November 12, 2021 in Yerevan.

It should be reminded that the document was signed by Armenian  Minister of Finance Tigran Khachatryan and Charge d'Affaires of the  Swiss Confederation in Armenia Stefan Kloetzli. The agreement  provides for establishing that dividends will be taxed at  preferential rates, in particular, it provides for raising the  threshold for participation in the context of applying a preferential  rate from 25% to 50% and lowering the taxation rates for dividends,  setting them respectively 0-5% in case of investment.

Armenia has entered into agreements on the exclusion of double  taxation with 50 countries of the world.
