Armenia could partially settle debt to Russia by means of  environmental projects 

ArmInfo. Armenia's debt to Russia could be settled by means environmental projects, including projects in hydrometeorology and electrical public transport, reads an  official report on the website of the RF President. 

The report deals with a meeting between Ruslan Edelgeriyev, RF  presidential representative for climate affairs, and Erik Grigoryan,  Armenia's authorized representative for the "debt for climate"  mechanism.  

The sides discussed prospects of settling Armenia's debts to Russia  by means of joint environmental projects, which will reduce Armenia's  debts. 

Mr Edelgeriyev proposed employing market mechanisms under Article 6  of the Paris Agreement.  Armenia's national debt reached $9,324.3mln  at the end of this February, with the RA Government's debt being $8,  847.1mln. Russia is among Armenia's major creditors.
