ArmInfo. The natural gas tariffs have been raised in Armenia from April 1, 2022, by AMD 4.7 per cubic meter - up to AMD 143.7.
The RA Public Services Regulatory Commission approved a relevant decision based on a proposal by the Gazprom Armenia company.
Gazprom Armenia proposed a consolidated tariff for all consumers, AMD 135,648.85 ($282.6) per 1,000 cubic meters, with a minimum caloricity of 8,500 kilocalories per cubic meter, in which case the average weighted tariff would rise by 6% (against the current $266.71 per 1,000 cubic meters). However, the Public Services Regulatory Commission set the following gas tariffs:
1. AMD 100,000 per 1,000 cubic meters (including VAT) for low-income gas consumers using up to 600 cubic meters; 2. AMD 143,700 per 1,000 cubic meters (including VAT) for the population (except for low-income gas consumers using up to 600 cubic meters); 3. $233.9 per 1,000 cubic meters (including VAT) for greenhouses from November 1 to March 31. 4. $233.9 per 1,000 cubic meters (including VAT) for economic entities working in the agricultural sector; 5. AMD 143,700 or $265.81 for 1,000 cubic meters (including VAT), for other consumers, including thermal power plants, which consume over 10,000 cubic meters a month.
