
ArmInfo. On April 8, Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) Rustam Badasyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia Abbas Badakhshan Zohouri.
As reported by the press service of the State Revenue Committee, during the meeting a number of issues of mutual interest in customs cooperation were discussed. The parties discussed ways to intensify and develop trade between Armenia and Iran.
Rustam Badasyan and Abbas Badakhshan Zohouri praised the achievements registered as a result of close cooperation between the two countries in recent years. The parties expressed their readiness to make every effort to further strengthen cooperation.
According to the RA Statistical Data, the Armenia-IRI foreign trade turnover for January-December 2021 amounted to about 502.8 million US dollars, an increase of 25.2%. At the same time, Armenian exports amounted to 65.5 million US dollars, with a decline of 22.5%, while imports from Iran to Armenia recorded an increase of 37.9% - up to 437.3 million US dollars
