ArmInfo. Electricity generation amounted to 2,465.3 million kWh in Armenia in Q1 2022, with an acceleration of y-o-y growth from 1.4% to 16.7%. At the same time, in March alone a decline of 1% was recorded - to 786.4 million kWh. This is evidenced by the data of the RA Statistical Committee.
According to statistical data, in Q1 2022 compared to Q1 2021, TPPs increased electricity generation by 40.4% - to 1,185.8 million kWh, Armenian NPP - by 9.6% to 924.5 million kWh. At the same time, HPPs reduced electricity production by 22.5% - to 318.2 million kWh,
Wind farms produced 1 million kWh electricity during the reporting period, which is 80.1% higher than a year ago. The volume of production of solar power plants amounted to 35.8 million kWh, with a 2.7-fold increase over the year.
