ArmInfo.Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of Armenia (NTAI) Gnel Sanosyan on May 16, within the framework of his working visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, met with Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran Rostam Ghasemi.
According to the press service of the MTAI of Armenia, after a private conversation, a meeting in an expanded format was held.
General issues were discussed regarding the exchange of information, the opportunities for Iranian companies to work in Armenia.
The parties also turned to cargo transportation. Problems were fixed bilaterally and an agreement was reached to remove obstacles to increase trade between the two countries.
The Minister stressed that Armenia is actively working in this direction. "In this context, we attach great importance to the roads being built in Syunik, especially in the north-south of Syunik, which will soon become more convenient for Iranian trucks, and the distance will be reduced. In the near future, when the work is completed, it will be economically more profitable to travel on these roads>, Gnel Sanosyan said.
