RA High-Tech Industry Minister, French Ambassador discuss Armenia`s  participation in VivaTech 2022

ArmInfo.Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia Robert Khachatryan, at a meeting with Ambassador of France to Armenia Anne Louyot , highly appreciating the French  rich experience in the technological field, as well as the  effectiveness of previous programs implemented with the Ministry,  stressed the need to deepen bilateral mutually beneficial  cooperation.

According to the press service of the ministry, Anne Louyot , in her  turn, congratulated Robert Khachatryan on assuming the post of  minister and confirmed her readiness to continue cooperation.

During the meeting, the parties touched upon the process of  delivering a supercomputer donated by France to Armenia, the  activities of the "Engineering City", incubation and acceleration  programs aimed at developing start-ups, opportunities for cooperation  in the field of technological education, as well as a number of other  topics.

The interlocutors also discussed the prospects for cooperation in the  field of the latest technologies within the framework of the road map  of the Armenian-French economic cooperation.

Robert Khachatryan and Anne Louyot  also touched upon a number of  issues related to the participation of the Ministry in the  Viva-Technology-2022 exhibition, which will be held in June in Paris  and other international exhibitions.

At the end of the meeting, the need and readiness to develop  bilateral relations in the high-tech industry were confirmed.

Viva Technology Paris 2022 is the 6th global exhibition and  conference for startups and investors. More than 45,000 people  visited the first Viva Technology exhibition. The event dedicated to  innovation was a great success, bringing together the largest French  and international companies, digital and Internet market  participants, as well as promising start-ups.

Viva technology is an exhibition on a huge scale. VivaTech-2018 had  about 1000 exhibitors, 9000 startups registered, 1900 investors,  100500 visitors from 125 countries and about 1900 journalists.

A significant part of them are small startups that have passed  acceleration or cooperate with world-class companies (among them-  Facebook, Google, IBM, Microsoft, Cisco, Airbus, Bosh, Valeo).

VivaTech 2021 attracted more than 140,000 visitors, including 26,000  in person, and reached more than 119 million people in 149 countries,  providing 1.7 billion views thanks to a rich collection of more than  500 innovations, 1,400 exhibitors, including 60% in person, as well  as 400 speakers from all over the world.
