ArmInfo. On May 19, Armenia will host a presentation of a new business portal, Investin.am, which was created to link investment proposals with potential investors and local producers with wholesale buyers and distributors in more than 100 countries.
The catalog of investment projects of the business portal covers various sectors of the economy, including high technologies, industrial production, textiles, renewable energy, construction, trade, agriculture, tourism, entertainment industry, etc.
In general, the company provides a wide range of consulting services, including such as business plan development, business registration in Armenia, obtaining business permits, tax, legal, investment consultations.
Today, over 100 investment projects are presented on the Investin.am portal, more than 1800 exporting companies are involved and about $250 million of foreign direct investment has been attracted.
As Aram Kayfajyan, head of the project, CEO & Managing Partner of Armbrok investment company, told ArmInfo, the idea of creating and implementing the project is of an exclusively private, commercial nature. The project participants are several commercial organizations, including the Armbrok investment company headed by him.
Kayfajyan noted that the Investin.am investment platform is not about portfolio investments. The platform is designed for investors to participate through direct investment of private capital (Private Equity). These are investments already in mature companies for further development and expansion of their activities, including with the aim of strengthening market positions and export potential, as a result of which the value of the company will increase. The platform is also designed for foreign importers, who, through Investin.am, can find partners for Armenian producers of goods and services.
