
ArmInfo.Electricity generation in Armenia in January-April 2022 amounted to 3,142.4 million kWh, with an acceleration of y-o-y growth from 3.1% to 14.1%. And for a month alone a decline of 14% - to 677.1 million kWh was registered. This is evidenced by the data of the RA Statistical Committee.
According to statistical data, in January-April 2022, compared to the same period in 2021, TPPs increased electricity generation by 55.2% - up to 1463.6 million kWh. At the same time, a decrease in electricity generation - by 19% to 549.5 million kWh was recorded by HPPs, and by the Armenian NPP - by 3.2% to 1073.9 million kWh Wind farms produced 1.1 million kWh electricity during the reporting period, which exceeds the figure of a year ago by 64%. And solar power plants increased electricity generation 2.6-fold on a y-o-y terms, providing the volume at 54.3 million kWh for 4 months.
