ARARATBANK resumes payment of dividends in 2022 and plans new issue  of shares

ArmInfo. Shareholders of "ARARATBANK" OJSC decided to pay dividends based on the results of 2021. The decision was made at the recent General Meeting of the  Bank's Shareholders.

Dividends in the amount of 34.8% per ordinary  registered share will be paid out of the 3 billion AMD (about $6.3  million) provided for these purposes, out of the accumulated profit  of 21.8 billion AMD by the end of 2021. It should be noted that the  last time ARARATBANK made a decision to issue dividends to  shareholders based on the results of 2013 in the amount of 4.7% per  share.

The general meeting of shareholders of the bank also decided that the  retained (net) profit received in 2021 in the amount of 45.7 million  AMD remains at the disposal of the bank and will be directed to its  development.

As ArmInfo was informed by ARARATBANK, profit (dividend) per share  (EPS) in 2021 amounted to 1704 AMD. As a result of 2-fold capital  growth for 2013-2021, the book value of one share can presumably  reach 25 thousand AMD by the end of 2021 (the exact figure will be  after the market value is determined - ed. note).

The share capital of the bank is represented by 1760731 ordinary  registered shares, each with a nominal value of 5 thousand drams. The  new issue of 2 billion AMD shares planned for August-September 2022  was also discussed at shareholders' meeting This will allow the bank  to replenish its authorized capital (including share premium) from  16.8 billion drams in 2021 to 18.8 billion drams following the issue.

It should be noted that the authorized capital of ARARATBANK OJSC is  represented by 73 shareholders - residents of the Republic of  Armenia, of which 70 are individuals. As of March 31, 2022, the  majority shareholders in the capital of the bank are: Flash company,  one of the largest oil traders in Armenia- 72.73%, Barsegh Beglaryan  (well-known entrepreneur, head of Flash) - 22.62%, Sanasar Beglaryan  - 4.29%. According to the y-o-y financial statements of ARARATBANK  for 2021, the total capital amounted to 37.8 billion AMD, assets -  268.1 billion AMD, credit investments (including interbank loans) -  163.8 billion AMD, total liabilities - 230.3 billion AMD.

The bank managed to increase the amount of funds attracted from  customers in 2021 by 27.4% to 124.8 billion AMD. In particular, term  deposits from individuals over 2021increased by 41%, to 59.2 billion  AMD, while demand liabilities amounted to 21.4 billion AMD. At the  same time, fixed-term deposits of legal entities increased over the  reporting year by 76.8% to 12.2 billion AMD, and demand liabilities -  by 19.5% to 31.9 billion AMD. The funds raised by the bank from  international financial institutions amounted to 86.4 billion dAMD at  the end of 2021.

The number of active plastic cards by April 1, 2022 reaches about 105  thousand pieces (ArCa, Visa, MasterCard, Diners Club), of which over  44 thousand pieces are ArCa local cards, according to the number of  which the bank is in the TOP-5.  The number of ATMs has increased to  126 units, and with the number of its own POS-terminals, the number  of which is 1388, the bank occupies the 4th place. The total volume  of plastic transactions in 2021 exceeded 177 billion AMD, while the  volume of online card transactions jumped by 77.7% to 19.6 billion  AMD.

ARARATBANK is active in the securities market, also acting as an  underwriter and market maker of corporate bonds of various issuers.  Branch network of the Bank by 2022 consisted of 53 divisions, of  which 23 are located in Yerevan, 30 - in the regions of Armenia and  in the NKR.
