
ArmInfo. Armenia's government will allocate AMD 1.2bln to the Ministry of Emergency Situations for maintaining and purchasing special equipment.
Minister Armen Pambukhchyan reported that fire fighters and rescue teams are housed in old buildings and 60% of the vehicles have been operated since the Soviet period, which affects efficiency and quality of work.
Premier Nikol Pashinyan said that firefighter and rescue teams in Yerevan, Martuni, Sevan, Vanadzor, Ijevan, Yeghvard and Amasia will be involved in the programme. Seven new fire-fighting vehicle and 12 all-terrain vehicles will be purchased.
