ArmInfo. On July 15, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan received Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Vitaly Savelyev and the delegation headed by him.
According to the press service of the Prime Minister, Pashinyan noted with satisfaction the intensity of the Armenian-Russian relations, noting that frequent official visits emphasize the special nature of bilateral ties. He emphasized the importance of cooperation in all areas, including in the transport sector, and also highly appreciated the efforts and prompt response of the Russian side to resolve the crisis situations that arise at the Upper Lars checkpoint.
Vitaly Savelyev, in turn, noted that he assesses the work with the RA partner agencies as effective. He noted that Russia is interested in developing friendly, fraternal partnership and mutually beneficial programs with Armenia.
At the meeting, an exchange of views took place on cooperation in the field of transport and logistics. Aviation and road communications, public transport infrastructure were mentioned, the exchange of experience and active interdepartmental work in these areas on both sides were emphasized. It was noted that the development of transport links will contribute to the growth of bilateral passenger and freight traffic, activate economic contacts and tourist ties.
