Armenia significantly increased gold exports in H1 2022

ArmInfo. In H1 2022, Armenia exported 2,514.8 kg. gold (including electroplating), which  is 76% higher than a year ago. The customs value of exported gold  also increased significantly - by 75%, amounting to $93.9 million.  This is evidenced by the data of the RA Customs Service.

During the reporting year, Armenia exported the lion's share of gold  to India (83.1%), and the rest to Turkey (14%), the United Arab  Emirates (2.5%) and Italy (0.3%).  At the same time, 692.2 kg gold  were imported, which is 8% higher than the volume of a year ago, and  the customs value of imported gold increased just as slightly - by  2.7% to $37.9 million.

Russia dominates (64%) among the countries supplying gold to Armenia,  followed by the UAE (19.8%) and the United States (15.9%), and the  remaining small volume is imported from Switzerland (0.8%) and France  (0.2%).
