ArmInfo. The Yerevan Municipality and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) are discussing new areas of cooperation.
According to an official report, at their meeting Yerevan Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan and ADB Resident Representative in Armenia, Mr. Paolo Spantigati discussed the possibility of construction of gas filling stations and a bus washing station at the bus depot in Yerevan's Jrvezh district, as well as asphalt laying in the open-air bus terminal.
The Yerevan Municipality is also considering the construction of a new bus depot and of an alternative highway to the airport.
In his turn, Mr Paolo Spantigati pointed out the ADB's willingness to be Armenia's partner and support new municipal improvements programmes in Yerevan.
The ADB has been cooperating with Armenia since 2005. By this March, the bank had provided loans, grants and technical assistance to the country worth a total of $1.6bln. The funds were directed to the development of the country's transport, financial, energy and water supply infrastructures.
