
ArmInfo. A new automobile checkpoint of Ninotsminda has been opened on the Georgian-Armenian border, which will speed up the traffic throughput.
According to "Georgia Online", 11 new exits equipped with modern control systems have been organized at the customs checkpoint of Ninotsminda for trucks, passenger and cars carrying out international transportation. About 70 customs officers will work at the checkpoint. At least 600 trucks, 3,000 cars and 8,000 passengers are scheduled to cross both directions every day.
In addition, an area of about 4,000 sq.m. was renovated as part of the infrastructure work, new underground communications, a drainage network were carried out, a hangar was built for inspecting cars. The project also provides for the landscaping of the territory.
