Based on the results, it is planned to sign decisions providing for the further development of the Eurasian economic integration. Particular attention, as noted in the message, will be paid to the digital agenda, in particular, the prospects for the development and improvement of the integrated information system of the Union, the development of a unified analytical system for the administration of electronic trade in goods.
During the meeting, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, welcoming the heads of government of the EAEU member states, noted with regret that the world economy is going through hard times. In particular, he stressed that many trade, production, and logistics ties that have just begun to recover from the pandemic are now subject to new shocks. The Prime Minister noted that, among other things, the fundamental principles of the global economic system were called into question. "In the current unstable economic realities, there is no doubt about the relevance and relevance of a trusting dialogue at the highest level for a more harmonious coordinated interaction," he said. According to Pashinyan, understanding mutual interests and willingness to compromise, can be the key to solving many problems. In this context, the head of government noted the daily work on the development of coordinated response measures to emerging problems carried out in the EAEU at all levels.
The previous meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council was held on August 25-26 in the Kyrgyz city of Cholpon-Ata under the chairmanship of the head of the Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov, which was attended by the Prime Ministers of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, Belarus Roman Golovchenko, Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov, Russia Mikhail Mishustin and Chairman Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Mikhail Myasnikovich. The head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan, Ali Asadov, took part in the council meeting as a guest, and the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Aripov, as an observer.
