This time, the Bank supplemented its Ameria Business platform, which was launched in 2018, with a new service that allows you to register an online business - to open an IE (Individual Entrepreneur), without visiting a bank branch.
In the future, the Bank plans to expand the capabilities of the system by allowing registration of an LLC (Limited Liability Company). This was announced at a press conference on the topic "Ameria Business Digital Platform: New Opportunities and Prospects".
Ameriabank's ProjectManager Arpine Harutyunyan presented the features of the Ameria Business platform and the principle of business registration, noting that the new platform operates on a one-stop basis, and in addition to free business registration, allows the client to open an account with Ameriabank, get a card and access to Online/Mobile banking applications , as well as enjoy other services and numerous privileges. She explained that to register an individual enterprise the client only needs a passport and a social security card or an ID card, access to a printing or scanning device, and a computer with a camera or a smartphone. The registration process takes only 20 minutes.
"The Ameria Business platform operates on the principle of one window, which simplifies the process of registering a business. By launching this platform, Ameriabank creates the basis for improving Armenia's position in the Doing Business rating," Harutyunyan noted.
During the press conference Arman Barseghyan, the Director of Retail Banking of Ameriabank, for his part, emphasized that the year was very active in terms of business. In particular, he noted that at the moment the client base of the retail portfolio has exceeded 370 thousand people. Since the beginning of the year, deposits have increased by 10%, the loan portfolio has grown by 20%. He said that the dynamics of card transactions is impressive, it has increased by about 70%. Internet banking transactions are also growing rapidly, according to forecasts, the number of which will increase from 1.2 million in 2019 to 10 million this year.
Noting that today Ameriabank provides 96% of services through digital channels and only 4% in the branch network, Barseghyan noted that over 8 months of this year, as part of the SMART service, 7,000 accounts were opened remotely, while for the entire 2021 their number was 5,000. In addition, 90% of consumer loans were provided online, and in the mortgage portfolio, online loans accounted for 30%.
The Director of Retail Banking of Ameriabank also drew attention to the rapid growth of e-commerce, which is also encouraged by government policy. In particular, he noted that in terms of quantity and value in annual terms, the volume of electronic commerce increased by 70%. "Thus, e-commerce has reached a historical maximum," Barseghyan said.
Answering a question from ArmInfo, Ameriabank's Innovation and Digitalization Director Artyom Shamtsyan said that the bank has set itself the task of replenishing the development team in order to create more services within the Ameriabank ecosystem. He noted that the service is not only about opening a company, opening an account, getting a card, because the life cycle of a company requires a huge number of services.
"Now the question is how quickly we can develop all these services. The ecosystem will work if there is a whole cycle of services. This is very important thing because our vision is not limited to the fact that we will be one of the systems for doing business. We want to be the only platform where, starting from registration, we will be able to provide businesses with all the necessary financial and non-financial services within the framework of one platform," he concluded.
