ArmInfo.A total of $350mln is planned to be invested in the Zvartnots International Airport, Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Armen Simonyan said in parliament.
The funds will be invested in enhancement work at the airport. The Public Investments Committee discussed the 5-year investment programme proposed by the Armenia International Airports CJSC.
As regards the ban on flights by Armenian airlines by the EU, Mr Simonyan said that EU experts arrived in Armenia late last year and recorded the progress by Armenian airlines. Thereafter, FlyOne Armenia was allowed to carry out flights to EU member-states.
Armenia ratified the European Common Aviation Area (ECAA) last December and is supposed to adopt the EU aviation standards.
