ArmInfo. A number of Italian businessmen are interested in investment projects in various branches of Armenia's economy, Armenia's Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan wrote in a Facebook post as he referred to the results of his meeting with an Italian business delegation.
Mr Kerobyan briefed the Italian businessmen on Armenia's economy, development trends and highlighted the importance of expanding cooperation and attracting investments. He also informed the Italian businessmen of a pilot programme of agricultural land consolidation, and the Italian partners showed interest.
The sides discussed draft investment programmes of hothouses and swine-breeding, as well as the possibility of developing solar power and green hydrogen facilities in Armenia.
Last January-November 2022, Armenian-Italian trade totaled $303.1bln - a 15.4% year-on-year increase. Exports totaled $60mln (a 4.6% increase), and imports, $243.1mln (18.4%).
