
ArmInfo. The construction organizations implementing subvention programmes in seven Armenian regions will receive AMD 1.412bln from Armenia's budget. Armenia's Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Gnel Sanosyan reported that the funds will be directed to the Aragatsotn, Gegharkunik, Lori, Kotayk, Syunik and Tavush regional administrations as part of the government's commitments to co-finance subvention programmes.
The programmes in question were approved in 2021 and 22 and are nearing completion. The construction organizations working in 17 settlements of seven Armenian provinces will receive the funds. Nineteen of the 25 subvention programmes were implemented last year.
Aragatsotn will receive AMD 3.5mln for one programme, Gegharkunkik, 80.1mln for one programme, Lori, AMD 30mln for two programmes, Kotayk, AMD 185mln for ten programmes, Shirak, AMD 548mln for four programmes, Syunik, AMD 198mln for four programmes, and Tavush, 366mln for three programmes.
Mr Sanosyan singled out the programme in Gyumri, with a budget of AMD 447mln. The funds have been used on the installation of solar power stations on the roofs of 50 state-run noncommercial organizations, with a total capacity of 1.7MW. This is a "most important event as regards energy saving and forming a green environment."
