ArmInfo.Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia David Sahakyan introduced the French entrepreneurs, who expressed a desire to invest in the Armenian market, the economic potential of Armenia, the directions and prospects of the Armenian-French cooperation in the high-tech sector.
According to the press service of the Ministry of High-Tech Industry, the meeting took place within the framework of the first "France-Armenia" Economic Summit held in Paris. According to the source, Sahakyan also delivered a speech at the "High-tech industry" round table discussion, where he presented the areas of activity of the Ministry. In particular, the Deputy Minister spoke about the tax incentives provided by the state to IT start-ups, plans to establish a National Venture Fund to stimulate investment for IT start-ups, the format of cooperation between the Ministry and incubators and accelerators to improve the ecosystem, work on retraining specialists in the framework of cooperation between universities and the private sector, about upcoming specialized events and exhibitions in Armenia.
The summit was organized by the France-Armenia Chamber of Commerce and Industry jointly with the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry within the framework of the Roadmap for Armenian-French economic cooperation for 2021-2026.
